StumbleUpon.

Does anybody use the StumbleUpon Firefox plugin?
I have a very peculiar problem and I want to rule out Aladdin as a potential cause before I investigate further. I've just been stumbling images and found that almost everytime I clicked the Stumble button I got a connection reset error in Firefox. If I refresh the page though the website displays OK.
Disconnected and tried RIN and it worked seamlessly. Now back on PlusNet and the problem persists. Can somebody whose also on Aladdin give this a whirl and let me know their findings?

Re: StumbleUpon.

I installed the Stumbleupon plugin to check this.
Immediately after installation I got the Reset error. I cleared that and clicked the Stumble button which gave me the Customize/Registration screen; however filling that in and clicking 'submit'  gave the Reset again and I couldn't get past that.
Restarting my computer made no difference.

Re: StumbleUpon.

Nice one Carl. I'll ask in the Community support forum if those not on the Aladdin trial are having difficulties to rule out our routing as a potential cause.

Re: StumbleUpon.

I have been having some general trouble on two connections this evening across 3 computers.
This included occasional DNS timeouts and connection resets occurring quite a bit. Neither service is on Aladdin.
It seems to have stopped now.

Re: StumbleUpon.

Looks like the problem might well be Aladdin related.

Re: StumbleUpon.

Yeah - They just rang to say it is and it's being fixed...
They are going to get some support people to come into the forum and work directly with us.

Re: StumbleUpon.

From Aladdin -
After further looking into this, I found out that the StumbleUpon application was blocked due to default configuration we use for enterprise customers, where we are required to protect end users from any information leakage. This is an example of our ongoing tradeoffs: the highest level of security as opposed to allowing applications that may fall in the grey area.
I have neutralized it and from now on there shouldn’t be any further difficulties in entering those applications.
Thanks for drawing our attention to this J

Yup!  It's more like a PlusNet speed of response than some of the other trials. Crazy
