Access denied to website

To date I have experienced no problems during the trial.  Today however I tried to access the Memory-Map website and was denied access.  I got the following message:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apache/2.0.40 Server at www.memory-map.co.uk Port 80

Has Aladdin prevented access and if so how can I get access to the website?

Re: Access denied to website

Why jump to the conclusion that Aladdin is to blame?
I can not access that site, and am not on the Aladdin trial.

Re: Access denied to website

Working here. XP Pro, IE7. Not on Aladdin.
EDIT: On PN Connection

Re: Access denied to website

out of interest James_H - what IP does that site resolve to for you?
I get 80.254.228.254 and I get the error which is almost definately a fault with the remote website.  I'm guessing you either have an old, or a new DNS entry and the site may have moved?

Re: Access denied to website

I answered my own question:
Quote
[barry@gandalf ~]# host www.memory-map.co.uk 212.159.13.49
Using domain server:
Name: 212.159.13.49
Address: 212.159.13.49#53
Aliases:
www.memory-map.co.uk has address 80.254.228.254
[barry@gandalf ~]# host www.memory-map.co.uk 212.159.13.50
Using domain server:
Name: 212.159.13.50
Address: 212.159.13.50#53
Aliases:
www.memory-map.co.uk has address 80.254.228.254
[barry@gandalf ~]# host www.memory-map.co.uk 212.159.6.9
Using domain server:
Name: 212.159.6.9
Address: 212.159.6.9#53
Aliases:
www.memory-map.co.uk has address 80.254.229.170
[barry@gandalf ~]# host www.memory-map.co.uk 212.159.6.10
Using domain server:
Name: 212.159.6.10
Address: 212.159.6.10#53
Aliases:
www.memory-map.co.uk has address 80.254.228.254
[barry@gandalf ~]#

Seems like one of the PN DNS servers is out of sync.  Whether it's picked up a new update to the DNS, or if it's lagging behind is the question though Smiley

Re: Access denied to website

After flushing the DNS cache and using the openDNS servers I ended up at 208.69.34.132.
Displaying this site gives the "we've got problems" display shown in the attached image.
Edit: but to add to the confusion Whois says that IP belongs to openDNS? Huh

Re: Access denied to website

For the record if a site is blocked by Aladdin eSafe settings the page shown in the attachment is displayed, not a 403 message. (Note: this isn't from the memory-map site.)
