Depends what speed you actually get - you can get an estimate on:

Anything over about 2.5Mbps should allow basic streaming and Skype (which is less demanding on bandwidth.)

Obviously the calculations change if there is going to be more than one person using the connection at the same time.

thanks chris,,, ive just got fibre but wondered if the basic would have sufficed,,,,,,, but im pleased with my speeds as they are,,,, ive only been on since today but they did say something about the speeds fluctuating over 10 days
