Same here, pertty annoyed about it, and the 50p tax has been scrapped too which means I am gonna stay on the slow connection for some time to come.

only until they are elected, of course - and at any rate, the push is still going to happen really - just the costs will come from elsewhere (probably the BBC's budget  :()

If you put your telephone number in to bt's wholesale line checker page, it will tell you if adsl+ is available at your exchange,  http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
