why is it ?

why is it that when my BT ip profile raise,s  it takes  3 days to match it , but if it goes down it plus net match it almost straight away  , also when i get a system / router restart promted by PN  i then have to do another restart so i can then Play online  , the monitoring system then see,s  to many restarts and starts my profile on a downward trend  Angry  Sad Sad  . even if the line has been stable for days !

Plusnet's insistence on matching you BT IP Profile with one of its own was based on receiving prompt updates that it does not get any more.  This has them stumped.

I must say I have not noticed that myself, seems equally slow to go down.  I don't think it should be necessary to restart the router.

The system restart by Plusnet is only a PPP disconnect not  resync or reboot
What do you mean by a restart to play on line - resync, reboot, or disconnect/reconnect

Re: why is it ?

hi  again !
most of the time after a ppp  reset or whatever it is  (on router it says  ppp) ...i then have to restart my router as i either have 100 % packet loss or  mtu fault , so i restart my router an everything is back to normal except this then starts a downward trend in speeds/profile etc and again if i check bt ip profile an theres a big gap between bt and pn i do a restart an speed will then follow bt profile  ... i thought this had been sorted  as have been going 3 days without any ppp events or disconnects ,

Re: why is it ?

I have a similar problem waynem, the last couple of times I have had a Peer Terminate my line disconnects shortly afterwards and also gives me a lower sync.

Re: why is it ?

Wayne, have you tried disconnecting your router on the home page on the router then restarting it, this is supposed to not have any ill effect on your sync and speed.

Re: why is it ?

I know how you feel mate, I was syncing @13000+, then 12000 then 11000 now I am hovering around 10400.  I dare'nt even look at my router incase it disconnects and the DLM steps in.
