using netgear d6300 router with plusnet fibre connection

I wish to use my D6300 router with the plusnet fibre connection, my master socket is in the lounge and my router is in the study upstairs, can anyone please advise on the best way of connecting the modem to the router without having to move either the router or modem
thanks

Re: using netgear d6300 router with plusnet fibre connection

you'd need to have a length of ether cable run from the modem to the router or request the extension kit and get the engineer to put the vdsl socket upstairs.

Or use homeplugs to connect over the ring main.

Remember home plugs have a decrease on speed depending on home wiring.
