if you get tracerts like that again tonight, can you try a few diffrent gateways to see if you get better latency on one of them
also can you check what your exchange status is like http://www.nildram.net/support/tools/congestion_checker/

something i notice from time to time which i dont know if its related but this morning although my router said it was connected, i started getting really slow browsing, where if i clicked on a link it would take ages for the green dots to go across and then if i clicked it again the web page appeared after a while, then i was getting no connection messages ie the diagnose connection problems page and when i rebooted my router it was fine again. outlook would not do a send or receive either so it was if i had no connection.

Quote is this the right thing, also how do i try differnt gateways, reboot my router?
Yes it is i ask poeple to do the tracerts to bbc.co.uk as i find it to be a reliable place to ping regrads stabilty of ping.
you can reboot your router to get on a diffrent gateway but its better to find the option on your router to just disconnect the internet and reconnect as your not messing about with your sync to the exchange that way and theres no possabilty of the DLM thinking you have a stabilty issues and raising your noise margin (which lowers your sync speed)
Am not sure how you go about doing this on the thomson web interface off the top of my head, but i have got one here to play with to check but if some one running one premently that can check where to go to do this please post the instructions to save me risking my adsl2 hard earned sync and profiles
Quote i started getting really slow browsing
There are afew threads running at the mo with reports of dodgie page loading (am sure a saw a thread where chirs or obery had posted a check list in to tracert and nslookup bbc and some plusnet ones but i cant find it)
thoe it could of been a droped connection so keep a close eye on that
ive bolded the hop that your looking for to tell you witch gateway you on

Quote didnt add the exchage pic, also did a speedtest and thats much better when i rebooted, highest its been for ages
its possable youve had a profile increase since your last reboot/resync and you doing that reboot has picked up the new PN updated profile or the gateway you got on reconnecting is one thats preforming better

Sounds like you ended up on the AG03 gateway when we were having problems with it (details at http://status.plus.net) - those are now looking sorted but we've got our eye on it in case of any further problems. As ASBO has said you can do a tracert to check which gateway you're on, or you can take a look at http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway
