Hi all, i have only just signed up to Plus Net after several recommendations from different folk in all parts of the country.
I am currently with Virgin Media and hope to save £10 a month with Plus Net. I am hoping to get the Talk Anytime phone and Value broadband as only a light user.
However i am very curious about the Fibre Optic service, does this come through a standard BT phone line OR do they have to put a new cable in, all the way from the telephone exchange ?, which is only about 100 metres away !.
I do have a "green box" over the road from me, but i thought that was only there since the Virgin media folk came along and put there cable under the path !.
I also suspect that my, unused for 20 years BT Line, has been damaged where it enters the house, would/will it be easy for the BT chaps (working for PlusNet) to put a new wire in ?
September 5th is the day they are coming to install the Plus Net Phone, reading some of the posts here i gather it doest always go as planned !.
