i decided to try and connect a different router because of frequent drops in connection but when i put in the login details for the intenet i get access denied.
it says this
PPP Username and Password (Interface: pppoa0, Description: pppoa_0_0_38 )
PPP usually requires that you have a user name and password to establish your connection. In the boxes below, enter the user name and password that your ISP has provided to you.
i tried myusername@plusdsl.net and my password and i also just tried my username alone
im definitely not using my forum username and the password is correct

Is the router locked to a particular ISP, even though the presence of those boxes suggests otherwise?

Quote from: totalguy it can see theres a connection there because it shows upstream and downstream it just wont connect
Certainly suggests that ADSL is syncing OK

Looks OK: http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/hardware/broadband-connection-settings.shtml

You DO need the password, are you 100% sure it's correct (same as Member Centre login password)?
Where did the Sagecom come from? spraxyt's reply may be the explanation.

A quick Google search suggests that the 'unlocked' firmware for the sagem f@st 2504n may still leave the device locked to Sky.
