requesting ip profile reset?

after a few router resets from an old router that has since been replaced about two weeks ago. our speeds which were at 72-80mbps are now stuck at around 24-28mbps after further research it appears our ip profile is still at 20mbps. which i assume is an error and the profile has become stuck. can we have our profile reset please as our line is perfectly stable.

Thanks

Re: requesting ip profile reset?

Hi @Nick001

I've ran a GEA test on your line and your Profile is actually set to 0.128-80M, which is correct :

Test OutcomePass

Test Outcome CodeGTC_FTTC_SERVICE_0000

DescriptionGEA service test completed and no fault found .

Main Fault LocationOK

Sync StatusIn Sync

Downstream Speed30.7 Mbps

Upstream Speed20.0 Mbps

Downstream Policing Discard Rate0.0

Customer Traffic LevelUpstream and Downstream Traffic Detected

Profile Name0.128M-80M Downstream, Error Protection Off - 0.128M-20M Upstream, Error Protection Off

Your Sync speed, however, is way down below where we would expect to see it.

Can you please confirm that you are connected to your Master socket rather than any extensions?

Thanks,

MoR

Re: requesting ip profile reset?

we only have the one main socket in our house. which was fitted when we had our line installed a few years ago. the problems arose very recently. i would have thought after a few days of stability our speed would have returned to normal. but they have not and remain about 1/3 of what we should be receiving.

Re: requesting ip profile reset?

i think i found the solution to our sync problems. our own routers software was outdated and needed a firmware patch which i have since installed and the sync speed and download speed now shows what we should be getting on multiple devices. i will of course monitor it over the next few days. thank you for the swift response.
