reconnected to broadband and phone but no internet speed

last week i lost connection on my broadband and phone for a few days.
it has now reconnected but i have no speed on the broadband,
if i go to online speed-checkers they just sit there and dont even do a test,
i have tried downloading a file but it wont give more than  12kbs or 13kbs
webpages are extremely slow to load.
and the internet keeps dropping out.
since i have been connected at the beginning of the year i don't seem to be having much luck with broadband,
when it was working before i lost all connections  the fastest speed was around a low 2,7gbs

I can see straight away that the speeds have been automatically lowered by DLM (dynamic line management).
As the line is stable again I've submitted an SNR reset.
This should fix the issue within a few hours.
Please reply back here if not.

thank you adam, i just ran another speedchack and its upto 1,3mb
fingers crossed that it will pick up.
a couple of days ago i was looking online, and i see that there is fibre optics in my area,
wou;ld i be able to upgrade to this if i still get problems with adsl over the phoneline ?
