Re: plusnet routers

You had a reset in January
Has it gone wrong again and you are already on ADSL2 from your previous post

Re: plusnet routers

Re: plusnet routers

That is because of your distance to the exchange
Your line won't support ADSL2+
The only difference between the two is the higher frequency tones which will attenuate to nothing

Re: plusnet routers

No it won't without flashing new firmware
Given the fact that you are getting multiple disconnections you may find that the reset will be rejected
As a matter of interest what speed did you get after the last reset

Re: plusnet routers

when they done a snr reset it went up to over 5500kbps and now it is locked again at DownStream Connection Speed 4544 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 864 kbps

ive had a new netgear router now for almost 2days with no disconnections so hope it stays that way

Re: plusnet routers

I've submitted an SNR Reset for you.
You are currently on ADSL2+ too.

Re: plusnet routers

You're provisioned on ADSL2+ but due to your line length (over 50 Loop Loss) you'll be on ADSL2. ADSL2 will be no different to ADSL2+ in terms of speed, if anything the speeds you're getting now are the best your line is likely to get whilst on a full copper based product.

Re: plusnet routers

If it's not causing your connection to drop or if you aren't seeing any impact because of this, it shouldn't be a problem.
If you are, I can apply Interleaving to tidy them up for you.
