moving from standard broadband to Fibre broadband

I requested to move from standard broadband to unlimited fibre broadband. I was given an activation date but my current broadband is now not working.(was working fine before i requested upgrade). Is this what happens during upgrade? I will now be without broadband for nearly 2 weeks and that doesn't seem right?

No this does not happen! I'd give plusnet a call and speak to them. Service only gets disconnected whilst they switch to fibre (about 30mins) on the date given.
