The connection profile on our end is set to 7.15Mbps. Your mother should start to see an increase over the course of the next 24 hours. If she's still getting slow speeds tomorrow then I'd advise that she gives our Technical Support team a call.

Re: mothers broadband - ADSL with only 1meg sync on 17.5dB attenuation?

Thanks Plusnet staff and community members for the help and advice.
Mum is now at full line speed so is very chuffed. Very valid point about turning the modem on/off when not in use - often overlooked. In this case the low uptime was down to me switching the modem off/on after plugging into the test socket to gather stats. The modem generally stays on.
I havent been over to mums yet but she reports a throughput of 6.2mbps which seems (close enough) in line with the current 7.1 line profile.
Lynn - Im unsure of the throughput limits in Market 1 with no un-bundling, is Annex M possible on this line to increase her outbound? If it is possible, please could that be enabled?
Many thanks.

On 20CN there's no Annex M, there's Max Premium for £7.83 extra per month, which increases the upload from 448k to something like 832k.

max premium also gives lifted priority on the bt network too.. and think it's 7.83+vat..
