internet speed

I am having lots of trouble with the internet speed. It has been a problem for several weeks,I have tried a old router and a new filter the main BT socket ,No change ,my download speed is now less than my upload speed, down 0.43mps  up 0.8mbs, I have asked for help before but all I get is a threat of £s if I am wrong . Having been a Plusnet client for many years I think this treatment is appalling, might have to try elsewhere.Ted

Re: internet speed

So actually not nearly as bad as you reported in your first post.

You pay £s not if you are wrong but if Plusnet call out a BT Openreach engineer and the problem turns out to be down to something on your premises.  If correctly wired, all your internal telephone wiring is connected to the faceplate of your master socket.  So you, and everybody else, are asked to remove this faceplate and make a connection directly to the socket behind the faceplate to make sure that this does not eliminate the problem.  That's the best effort that can be made to ensure that you won't be asked to pay £s.

Re: internet speed

the problem seems to have gone away for now, may have been external fault which someone has cured ??????
