interleaving is pants

hi can i request i have interleaving switched off, since i have had it put on  i am unable to go on line gaming due to my ping being almost double what it was

Interleaving is there to help improve the quality of your connection.
If it's removed and your line is unstable it will be re-applied.

yep thats fine, part of the reason for taking out the broadband is for gaming, when the interleaving was activated my ping went through the roof but  ive had a line reset a few days ago hopefully removing the interlaving now and the line reset a few days ago will allow me to get back to a normal ping.

I would consider a ping of less than 50 as good. Less then a hundred, as decent. And less than 150 as the end of ok gameplay.

yep  used to sit at about 80 - 100 depending on what server but since interleaving was put on im lucky if i dont get kicked soon as i join

Putting interleaving on shouldn't send your ping through the roof - it should only add 20-40 ms. If it's increasing it by more I think that indicates something else is going on.

yep seems strange but the problem only started when it was put on, just want it removed and see what happens as it was never this bad before it was activated.

I have placed an order for interleaving to be turned off. The order is due to complete on Monday although it can take effect before then.

thanks jo, on a seperate note ive had one of my neighbours come round last night as they are due to build a new house but my phone line from the pole comes across his land and needs to be re routed, he has agreed to pay for this and im awaiting a call from bt to explain what will happen but from what he says it looks like it will be comming from another pole from the next street will this run from the same exchange? and will you guys be aware of what they will be doing?
