These are my stats:
Uptime: 0 days, 4:36:44
DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 444 / 12,832
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 0.00
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 21.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 19.0 / 34.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 21.0 / 3.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / TSTC
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 8 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 2,385,084
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 442
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 1,418 / 401
Surely the noise margin will drop too far soon and i'll have connection problems? I also have a lot of FEC errors, does anyone know what they are?
Thanks
Tony

Noise margin went back upto 4.5db this morning and it was still synced. Is it safe for it to be low?

Hi rockfall,
When the noise margin is low like this then there would only be an issue if there were noise spikes. It seems from your connection logs that your connection is stable so I wouldn't worry too much about that. As far as the errors go, they do look like a lot I agree, the router will be reporting errors that are corrected so I wouldn't pay to much heed to the numbers. You can see from your stats that there are only 8 error seconds. This is from an uptime of 4hr36min44secs (16604 seconds) which doesn't look so bad when you look at it like that, does it?
Jojo
