how do I know if my upload is uncapped?

I have a basic broadband package.  I get about 18MPS down and 1 Mbps up.  The download sped is more than adequate for my needs but backing up photos (large files from a DSLR) to the cloud is very slow.  Is 1 Mbps as fast as my upload can go?

Fix

Yes, unless you upgrade to Fibre.

Put your phone number in the DSL Checker to see what speeds your line can get.

Re: how do I know if my upload is uncapped?

AFAIK Plusnet currently only offer a bit less than 10Mbps upload on fibre - which is less than 1MByte/sec - so uploads will still be "sluggish".

Hey @stuck,

As confirmed by @Mustrum your upload speed generally won't be any higher than 1mbps, however, you can check speeds for both upload & download via this webpage here.

Thanks.

Providing your line will support it the fibre uptions are 'up to'  40/10 or 80/20Mbps
