Re: having problems connecting for the past 2 days

Are those results from history or current.
If current what are the rest of the stats - speeds, attenuation and noise margin up and down.
What does the router say for the connection status, which lights aren't green
If the results aren't current try the following
First thing is to plug the router into the test socket using a different filter with nothing else connected.
Which lights don't go green

Re: having problems connecting for the past 2 days

Are all of them connected via wireless or are some wired.
If they are all wireless it may be either the router wireless output is playing up or somebody next door has a very powerful wireless output router which is crippling your wireless connection
Can you try WIFI Stumbler and see if anything is showing up http://www.meraki.com/products/wireless/wifi-stumbler

Re: having problems connecting for the past 2 days

It sounds like a duff router but can you advise the model and somebody, who knows more about it than me, may be able to help as I have never heard of all the units losing the internet connection when all the lights on the router stay green
One thing to check
When you lose the internet connection can you still get to the router home page via the browser

Re: having problems connecting for the past 2 days

When the connection is 'lost' try running
ping ntp.plus.net
If that fails try
ping 212.159.6.9
If you post the full output from those it may tell us more.

Re: having problems connecting for the past 2 days

I can see the disconnections logged on our side:
Link to this file:

Do let us know when you've tried another router and I'll check our connection logs again for you.

Re: having problems connecting for the past 2 days

found the problem its mcafee
should of said i get the following messages
"McAfee Service Host has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Data error report:
szAppName : McSvHost.exe    szAppVer : 2.0.230.0    szModName : unknown
szModVer : 0.0.0.0    offset : 04480f40
after research it seems its  net guard ,site adviser a lot of people are being disconnected  when this pops up
i have disabled it and the problems gone there seems to be a fix from mcafee but yet to find it
