Is it higher since the engineer changed your line to a different port?

Of course the speed estimates are only ever estimates are especially with FTTC are based on the length and quality of the copper cabling (not forgetting potentially aluminium cabling) between your cabinet and your premises.
The Speed Estimates are relevant as it's the only thing we can go from when offering a product to you.
Much depends on where exactly your FTTC Cabinet is located, many assume it's located in the same location as ADSL. When FTTC goes through planning, permission has to be granted by the local authorities for the cabinet to be installed at a particular location so very likely to be located in a different place to the ADSL.
If you'd like to move to ADSL, you'd need to speak to our Customer Options Team on 0800 432 0200 and they will be able to discuss your options to this regard.

There's not much of a speed difference. It'd just require an engineer to go out to switch things back over to ADSL, so not a mammoth task really.
You'd need to speak to our Customer Options Team just to get your account sorted out though so we can get you moved back to ADSL.
Ultimately, it's your decision on where you'd like to go moving forward.
