explaining router stats?

Hi, could somebody please explain what the stats on my router actually mean? During some renovations I recently had my master phone socket moved and binned all the extensions that came from it, these were done before i bought the house. Since then my download speeds have improved from around 250kbps to over 650kbps, which I couldn't believe! I play a fair bit of on-line gaming and I still notice a fair amount of lag and high ping. I have never ever got  full health bars of connection speed in any game and if there are Americans in the lobby forget it, lol. So I was wondering if there is something I could do with the router itself or any other improvements I could make that would help my plight in reducing latency and hopefully also to learn a bit about what the numbers on the router stats page actually mean.
Below is a copy of what's on my routers stats page.
