Re: email error

Try using webmail and deleting the first few messages (assuming they are not important).

Re: email error

The username and password for webmail  (for the default mailbox) is the same as you use to log in to the portal.
The Microsoft KB303194 article suggests to me the message can't be retrieved because it doesn't exist (because it will have previously been downloaded), but server clean-up wasn't completed properly.
Edit: Correct KB article number in text (link was correct)

Re: email error

The error message seems to indicate that you are trying to retrieve your messages via SSL. As discussed in this the thread named below, PlusNet has not yet implemented SSL for POP3 mail. Despite promising firm timescales for the implementation in May no implementation date has yet been announced.
http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,113.msg22383.html#msg22383
Your messages can be retrieved by setting up OE according to the guides in online help but they will be downloaded insecurely.
Probably better to use Web Mail.

Re: email error

It's not using an SSL connection
Secure(SSL): No

Its appears to be a bad message according to KB303194.
