Looks like it was delayed on one of the Critical path boxes. This seems odd to me as the graphing isn't indicative of any problems at the time the message was sent
I've raised a problem (47964) so this can be investigated. Has anyone else any similar examples?
Edit: You'll notice that there was some activity on the graphs yesterday. There was also a blip just before lunchtime that saw the queues rise to about 60,000.
After checking some of our internal graphing we found that there were massive increases in the volume of outbound SMTP connections during the periods of time when there was activity on the portal graphs.
After a bit of further digging we found that one of the log files was full of smtp connection errors for relay07.
Critical Path is smart hosted to one of our relay servers which is then used to handle bounced messages. This was one of the precautionary measures we took to prevent a re-occurrence of some of the problems encountered during the first roll-out attempt.
/var was full on relay07. Once we'd fixed that, everything returned to normal but it's completely possible that this may have delayed some legitimate email
We would have picked up on this problem a lot quicker had our monitoring picked it up over the weekend but sadly we had some issues with this too!
I wouldn't expect anybody to be experiencing delays now but anything sent over the last 24 hours may have been subject to problems.

I thought all the boxes were behind Critical Path. Perhaps that does not apply to emails generated by the CCGI server.

Quote from: chrisco I've raised a question as I've not been able to send for 3 hours now, receiving ok though.
Have you tried deleting the emails in your outbox and resending them? Failing that I would temporarily disable your antivirus and Internet Security software and try to make sure they're not misbehaving.
Failing that I'd go for a rebuild of your outbox.dbx file assuming you're using Outlook/Outlook Express.

Only the mx.cores. Email that passes via the mx.lasts does not go via Critical Path.
