email connect failures - intermittent and browsing timeouts

Everything seems fine for me this morning on both web and email.  Good speed also.

Hi - Thanks for the updates guys.
There's nothing that I'm personally aware of any DNS issues although I have seen a few emails issues being reported.
Hopefully all is now well, but if you could let me know if you see things cropping up again, I'd be grateful.

I'm still seeing intermittent 'fail to connect' on IMAP this morning.  All other Mail accounts seem to be OK

We're keeping an eye on things from this end to see if many are affected.  I'll have a chat with our Network bods and see if they're aware of any issues.

Are you saying that one of your email accounts is experiencing problems, or is it all IMAP connections to the PN servers Maurice?

one of my POP transfers just burped, tried again within seconds and OK  (5 mins ago)

I only have one account mapped to IMAP - all the others are mapped as POP3.
The IMAP account had several 'failed to connect' this morning, but a retry was successful.  Not had a problem since about 11:00 - but I have been away from the PC for a few hours

Just had another fail on IMAP  - Just sat there for 3 minutes checking the SPAM folder.
Cancelled it and did a retry - worked fine

Yes, Me too .... and I am also having problems sending and receiving mail. Problem seems to have started on Monday .

We've an internal problem open to investigate this but it's proving difficult to replicate (ref: 55756).

Although I had problems yesterday there have been none today and everything appears normal.

Disconnected again sometime between about 1am and 6 am.
Plusnet line speed gone from 5000 yesterday to 6500 today. Router showing 7616Kbps and has not really changed much in a few days.

I'm getting a number of 'address not found' this morning whilst trying to connect to certain sites.  Connecting OK after retry.

Yes, see Bob Pullen's email this morning.  I think the problem which started yesterday is getting worse.
