Re: double upload

Hi there,
If you're on standard 'upto 8MB' ADSL then there's an add on called Max Premium, which gives you priority on the BT network, and an increased upload of 832k.
If you're on 'upto 20MB' ADSL2+ then we need to send a request to increase your upload, but this can in some cases have a negative impact on the downstream speed.

Re: double upload

It's about £9 per month, you can sign up for it here http://portal.plus.net/wizard/?wizard_id=20
Also gives you elevated performance on the BT bit of the network.

Re: double upload

Thanks for your help
I was wanting the extra upload to be able to host more people online gaming,
What would be the advantages of elevated performance on the BT side of the network (lower pings)?
Cheers

Re: double upload

Sorry I forgot to mention the cost. It's £8 per month, and you can add it via the portal.
The priority service on BT's side means you'll see better peak time performance if your exchange is busy, and if you need to raise a speed fault at any point the minimum speed threshold is higher.
