Quote from: Matt_2k34 Reason it looked like DNS routing is because people are using several services such as OpenDNS, GoogleDNS rather than Plusnets own.
Noticed the problem about an hour ago when ODNS stopped responding, swapped to GDNS assuming theyre were having an issue, 2 minutes later same issue, swapped to PN DNS and everything was ok for 10 minutes before the slow responses started again 😛 Just striked up a machine with DNS installed which is polling across all services and now im getting slowness but pages load isnt it fun
Thanks for the update Chris.
Cisco (aka Spamcop) told me Plusnet DNS was not configured properly and it made it look as if they were spamming.
Usually better off on Open DNS because Plusnet never tell you when they change their DNS servers
Going to see if I can load public forum to see if this is industry wide

As eluded to by Chris' previous post...
Quote Looks like a few ISPs are seeing similar issues from speaking to people around the business.
So thats a YES...

Quote from: jelv Looks to me like the Level 3 connection is down.
Using the office PC I've just tried a trace to 212.159.8.2 (portal servers) from dnsstuff.com. The last successful hop was ae-58-223.csw2.London1.Level3.net.

Quote from: Service This has now been confirmed as a global routing issue affecting ISPs across the world. It seems to have been caused by a number of core routers erroring.
We're continuing to investigate and chase and will update this post as soon as any more information becomes available.
As good as plusnet are, they're not backbone providers and as such this issue will reside with them.
Until they can sort that, its hang on tight for everyone involved, across all ISPs
Regards
