what control of a broadband line do plusnet have regarding conection and speed.
i am trying to find out if bt wholsale control everything or do plusnet have acess to certain contoll and ajustment

AFAIK if it is the 20CN ("up to 8 meg") broadband product then Plusnet have no line control whatsoever except to turn interleaving on or off and select an upload speed of (up to) 448 kbps or (up to) 832 kbps. They can impose their own constraints on top of what the line can do, however.

thank you for your reply. it looks like my battle will be with bt wholsale through plusnet then, as i do exspect to get a connection speed simlar to the previous one that i had with my previous isp ukonline , which was constant and very good and it has dropped considerable since joining plusnet on adsl2 then adsl max which i am on now as plusnet thought this might inprove the speed..

what sort of speeds are you talking about? as if it is near 4000 ADSL2 can give you a slower speed
