cant get msn but can get other sites ?

ok this is strange, I have a working Internet connect, can get sites fine, however I cant get www.msn.co.uk or www.national-lottery.co.uk, I have rtied to ping these sites and unable to.. have cleaned out IE settings fully, and reset back to deafult, even tried real player to try and get there but nothing any ideas welcome !!!! cos im stuck

What happens when you try to access the sites - do you get a 'page not found' error.
I can access both of these from my account.

it sits waiting for the page to load for about 30 seconds and then comes back with  page could not be displayed, every other sites seems to work fine ?

Reboot PC and router/modem.
Could be local software firewall / windows firewall or your router gone funny.

tried it with the windoiws firewall disabled, and have rebooted the router but it still does not want to play ball

It could possibly be a DNS problem.
Can you try:
http://213.199.165.50
that should take you to msn.co.uk

But have you rebooted your PC?

Sorted it !!! at last !!
Had to do a factory reset on the router !!!
Dont ask me why it was blocking those sites and not others but that seems to have done the trick...
