what sort of sync speen should I get with the followins stats
output Power Down: 19.5 dBm, Up: 12.0 dBm; line Attenuation Down: 48.0 dB, Up: 23.5 dB; snr Margin Down: 9.5 dB, Up: 8.0 dB)

Hiya,
I used to get something in the region of 3.5Mbps sync speed with relatively similar figures, albeit my SNR was a little bit lower.
What sort of speeds are you seeing?

Getting 4864 tonight which isn't bad.
However has been as low as 2000 this last few weeks.

My stats are pretty close to what you are seeing..

Connection Speed 6240 kbps 832 kbps
Line Attenuation 49.0 db 26.0 db
Noise Margin 5.1 db 9.0 db

You should get a good 4Mbps I would have though. My attn is 42dB, and SNR of 6dB, and I get a good 5000-5500 sync speed, giving me a throughput of 4.5Mbps.

Are you talking about a fluctuation in sync speed or the actually throughput?  Your speeds seems reasonable (tonight) for the length of your line, but if you're seeing variations of that nature I'd be a little concerned.
