Re: broadband speed

If you haven't already, update your ticket to say you've tried 2 different computers and although when you ran the BT speedtester the other day it gave a reasonable result, it didn't today, nor did any other speedtester. Other than trying an alternative modem/router to rule that out, I'm out of ideas at the moment. If I think of anything I'll post back.

Re: broadband speed

Re: broadband speed

You certainly shouldn't be experiencing this problem, and even if it takes a bit of time, I would have thought it worth pursuing the problem rather than having to fork out all the £25's  Wink It could well be a problem with BT stuff at the exchange, but ruling out the modem/router is always a good idea.

Re: broadband speed

yeah true it should be running bout the same as previous provider but since joining from the start its never been the same i wouldnt think router would be the culprit as router is new but i think bt  stuff is the blame and if it worked from the begining i could of saved the £25,s as i didnt want to change providers but ive had no choice i still could be moving again  after the 24th jan if i see no improvement with adsl24 .  Smiley

Re: broadband speed

You could always cancel your order, I believe you are within your rights to do that with no penalty as there is still plenty of time before the 24th. You could still get a MAC at some point in the future if you still wanted to.
Did you Update your ticket?

Re: broadband speed

Can you post the full modem/router stats. I'm suspecting that the cause of this is something mis-configured (or broken) at the exchange, because those results now look as though you are on ADSL1 on 21CN  Shocked

Re: broadband speed

That's not showing the sync speeds unfortunately. This modem/router doesn't give error figures does it?

Re: broadband speed

This is getting stranger by the minute. What does the BT speedtester give now?
