Re: broadband activation?

Amir,
At a guess you have Carrier Pre-Select with TalkTalk on a BT telephone line.
You will need to call BT Retail if that is the case, but you will need to account number.  It'll be on your phone bill.
We can't help until you get in touch with them.

Re: broadband activation?

Which company do you pay the telephone rental to? If it's BT why are they saying they can't do nothing?

Re: broadband activation?

You first need to establish who you pay your line rental to. This will be either BT or TalkTalk. Then telephone them and ask why a stop has been put on your line. Don't take no for an answer, they must know why a stop has been placed on your line. This is normally because someone has canceled the phone line or the bill has not been paid. Either way you should have been notified by letter.

Re: broadband activation?

Hi,
As per our (3 way!) telephone conversation, there's a pending cancellation on the phone line, which your Mum needs to get BT to remove.
Once that's done we can progress your broadband order and get an idea of how long it's going to take.

Re: broadband activation?

I hope that O2 have better luck in getting the line back of Tiscalli, who he recently did the same.
I also thought that on another rubbish thread he said that O2 were rubbish and should be steer cleared of  Cheesy Smiley Grin

Are you suggesting that he is in any way culpable for this debacle?

Re: broadband activation?

If a customer signs up for service, then receives the "Free" Router and then cancels before service commences, what charges does PlusNet press to recover?
Since he is a new customer and signed up for an 18 month contract and then chose to cancel rather than fulfil his responsibility of providing an unencumbered BT Line, I would say that he is liable for the full 18 month subscriptions.
Was this a scam to get a "Free" Router?
