Re: bbc i player 0x60 on 21cn trial

New signature for iPlayer rolled out this morning and we're seeing hits on it so it it looks like it's picking up traffic. Let us know if you're still seeing the port 80 Akamai/Limelight traffic as ox60 please.

Re: bbc i player 0x60 on 21cn trial

1. I wonder if this signature has been rolled to the 21CN gateway.
2. Does it need a disconnect/reconnect to pick up the new signature?

Can I say (again) that you get much faster performance by downloading to disk, then play from disk - not forgetting to delete your download file Smiley

Re: bbc i player 0x60 on 21cn trial

may i say again as well that iam trying to get this fixed so i can use it the way i want to use it.
ie i want to be able to say right bit of free time and its time to wire my laptop up to widescreen by hdmi and start streaming straight away i dont want to have to wait for it to download
plus not all progarmes are downloadable Wink so streaming is the only way
p.s PN staff plz rewind to reply 91 i dont want this missing when your all back after the weekend. i will be major cheesed off if i cant catch up on another weekends racing

Re: bbc i player 0x60 on 21cn trial

I know it doesn't help much, but FWIW all programmes are downloadable eventually... just, for some reason, it can sometimes take the BBC a day or so to offer a download for a programme, even if it can already be streamed.

Re: bbc i player 0x60 on 21cn trial

try that on a 2500 profile and a 2-3 hour grandprix. i could watch the thing streaming and still have time to make a cuppa before a download had completed

Re: bbc i player 0x60 on 21cn trial

grrr come on PN no reply here and no reply on my ticket that has 3 or more pcap's attached to it with port 80 soures being picked up as 0x60 still. i tell a lie it has reply from an unknow csc passing it on internal sunday at 4am
this coming sunday will be the passing of the third week since i havent been able to use iplayer in peak times and even from midday to 4pm i can only use the standard streams some times
i might just be tempted to use the new 3rd party survey for the first time when closing this ticket and it certainly is not going to be gd feedback.  Tongue
looks like the tiscalifaction of the support is happening all ready  Cry

Re: bbc i player 0x60 on 21cn trial

7 out 7 programes 0x60's pauses every 3 seconds un watchable. this is not funny any more the traffic mangment is suppose to protect such traffic yet here iam 3 weeks on the sharp end of it.
to tell you the truth iam fed up with the traffic mangment now cant play xbl between midnight and 1 am and cant use iplayer in peak times.
Angry *asbo googles niche isp's left in the uk. how much and where do i sign
*asbo has second thought. hum not keeping to what they promise by alowing streaming to be rubish by priotizing it wrong for 3 weeks is this a get out 9 months of jail free card me thinks
