Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

The process should take no longer than 10-15 minutes, once it's complete the router should start back up and all the normal lights on it should come on.

Confirm the firmware ("Software Release") version, as you did in your Reply #18

Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

Possibly, it shouldn't affect the downstream in any way however I'm a bit cautious of placing orders when we're looking in to issues such as this. If pegasus would like a slightly increased upload speed then I'm happy to oblige.

Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

Because the upstream error rate is low, uncapping that should not have a detrimental affect.

Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

Two hours later and still daylight, what are the ADSL stats now ?
Did 'Chris' place the order for uncapped upsteam ?
Can 'Chris' also check whether the Plusnet "Current line speed" profile needs updating with this new higher download sync speed ?

Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

Hi there pegasus20,
I'm glad the firmware upgrade has gone Ok,and the stats are looking quite good at the moment, errors so far are much better.
I'm not sure why everyone is rushing in suggesting Uncapping your upstream, I share Chris's caution. Whilst things do look better, we don't know yet whether it's stable and if there is still any line issue. Uncapped upstream has been known to make lines unstable, not common, but it has happened.so I would wait a while.
It's possible your line was "disturbed" - maybe the connections in the Cab had got yanked around with the Fibre work that is going on with nearby neighbour installs. It might be an issue caused by additional cross-talk as a result of the new Fibre connections. If the latter,I would hope that this firmware upgrade would resolve that.
Is you phone plugged in now? I really don't see any point in you being inconvenienced by it not being plugged in now, and it not being there may possibly mask an issue.
@Chris
Has a copper line test been carried out and shown any issues that will need to be progressed with the line provider?
