You Can change BBYW Products Now! :)

Umm, I have been thinking about advising one of my referrals to change from BBYW3 to BBYW1, that options is gone from the member center ..
http://portal.plus.net/upgrade_process.html?memberheader=upgrade
The only options now are to select PN Unlimited or Value and sign them up to an 18 month contract ... Uh NO thanks!

Hi SW,
If you give me their username, I'll happily have a look at their account.

Previously, when you changed your included usage, if you went up or down to an amount that was more suited to a different option it automatically did that for you - i.e. changed your product. Does that still happen?

I most certainly hope so, the point of BBYW 1/2/3 was that it was sold as a configurable product to meet your needs. PN seem to have forgot this.
So I am on BBYW1, now I have not been gaming for some time, but do have a PS2 connected to my router. Gaming is Gold on BBYW1, if I have problems I could have changed to BBYW2 for it to become Titanium. That would be a change from £10 to £15/month. Now I have to change to PN Ultimate which is a jump to £20/month. That will not happen, I will have to consider changing my ISP though. See how PN is making me think about changing ISP!
My BBYW product is now not configurable as it was advertised to be.

Re: Can not change BBYW Products Now! :(

According to the cached pages on Google, the FAQ for BBYW used to read as follows.
See #16, it says you change BBYW Options as and when you wish.
Please fulfill this obligation.

My BBYW product is now not configurable as it was advertised to be.

Well the cached pages show on #16, that BBYW is sold has having this configurable feature to change at will between the BBYW products.
So PN is willing to annoy 30% of people that are not in a Market 3 area are they?

You don't need to go to Google cache: http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/products/archive/bbyw/info.shtml

Oh Yes you do, the link you gave which is the PN 'archive', now stops at #14 ! So items #15 to #19 have been removed ... on February 17th!
The archived version is not the same as the cached version. Sad

I've saved a copy of that image to my hard drive.
Don't think I'll need to refer to it - unless the Stalinists decide that an archive is for temporary storage only.

Re: Can not change BBYW Products Now! :(

I advised a number of people to initially go on BBYW1 with the knowledge that the product could grow as their usage did (more online TV etc).
I do not understand how this option could have been removed to switch between different flavours of BBYW as that was an integral part of the product wasn't it?
