First of all which model of Lexmark printer do you have.

Do you have access to the manual a copy of which can be found here http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/4900/v7598294_en.pdf

Re: Wireless printer not connecting

Thanks dont know why I did not think of that. Thought it was done using the tools on the front panel.
On a similar subject I have all sorts of devices now connected apart from my sons laptop which has a BT wireless connection utillity that overrides the usual wirless connection.
No matter what I do it will not connect.
I think it may be due to the encryption that will only allow TKIP.
Thanks for the kelp on last topic.

Re: Wireless printer not connecting

If the wireless adapter is the BT Voyager 1060, it only seems to support a maximum security setting of WPA, T-KIP.

Yes, make sure your router wireless security settings are not set to 'WPA2' only. Usually there is a 'WPA+WPA2' setting or if not, a 'WPA' setting. If you're using the PlusNet TG585 router see pages 25-27 of the manual.

Re: Wireless printer not connecting

Mine wouldn't accept the router 'WPA+WPA2' setting, only the 'WPA' only setting, but it is worth trying.  If you think wireless security where you live could be an issue, it may be worth investing in a wireless adapter with more up to date security settings.
