Will someone look at my 9 dB SNR, please, for reduction to 6 dB?

Some months ago in another thread I wrote of the deterioration of my broadband. After further work I decided that my Billion router was the culprit, and reverted to my Plusnet TG 582n, which was far more stable. However with all the chops and changes the target SNRm crept up to 9dB with sync ~6000 kbps.

It has been there for some time now, so can someone investigate the possibility of a reset to the more normal 6 dB? Please!

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Fix

Hi there,

I've just processed a DLM change to reset the SNR target to 6db for you.

Can you let us know how things look within a few hours?

Re: Will someone look at my 9 dB SNR, please, for reduction to 6 dB?

Thanks Gandalf. It worked and I gained ~900 kbps on the download, though of course with increased errors

30 Aug 2017 10:04
CRC errors per hour: 11.5 Down, 0.89 Up
FEC errors per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up
HEC errors per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up
ES per hour: 10.3 Down, 0 Up
SES per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up

30 Aug 2017 16:04

CRC erors per hour: 18.1 Down, 3.42 Up
FEC erors per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up
HEC erors per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up
ES per hour: 16.3 Down, 0 Up
SES per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up

BTW did the change happen around 10:30: there was a deluge of CRCs around then.

Success. I put the change through at about 10:30 and it's usually pretty instant.
