Whitelisting on Postini

What has happened to the proposed facility for users to add their own Postini Whitelists? As a business user, we are unable to dump all the [SPAM] automatically, as some legitimate mail is still being incorrectly marked.
Apologies if this is covered in another thread, but a forum search gives no results for "whitelist" in the last month.

Good timing.
Bob's going to have some news on this in the pretty near future.

Re: Whitelisting on Postini

Is this going to be a straight roll-out, or will there be a trial?!!!
If there is a trial, can we be included please, the Spam problem here is causing major business disruption.

All I can suggest is that you wait for Bob's announcement and deduce what you will from that Smiley

When is "in the pretty near future"? When I came to live in deepest Somerset the first thing I was told was when a workman says he will come on Thursday, ask him "Which Thursday"!  Wink

Hopefully within the next couple of days.

Re: Whitelisting on Postini

News? Oh, good!
Last few days I've had
a. Less Spam (a lot less - except yesterday afternoon)
b. More false positives (nearly half what was arriving in my Spam folder)
Whitelisting won't solve all of it, but would help. And in the meantime PLEASE tell Postini that Facebook is NOT Spam!!!!  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Re: Whitelisting on Postini

James, that's much more specific. Thank you! Yes, white-listing will be a boon to business users if not to others. We can't afford to lose customers by chucking them in the spam bin.
BTW, I hope I don't get any more of those Google Adwords spams. I used the Webmail Spam button on batches of them at several times recently but still they came through. You would think it was easy for Postini to see I don't want emails with "Google Adwords" in the title.

I expect it will be done dreckly.
(Cornish word, similar in meaning to mañana (spanish) but not with the same sense of urgency!)

Re: Whitelisting on Postini

I seem to recall there is a story about a coach party touring Cornwall with a Cornish driver. They asked him "Are we going to Penzance next?" and he answered "Dreckly". "Oh dear" was the reply "And we so wanted to see Penzance".
