Re: What's up?

Absolutely ridiculous.  Are Plusnet ever going going to make a comment on this, as it's severely limiting my, and other customer's, use of the internet that we're paying you to provide.

dont blame PN, the failure is long after it leaves PN, just look at your trace

Re: What's up?

It is unsual that none of the larger ISP's seem capable of making a statement on any possable  Peering Point / Colocation Centre issues?
Even Be* just say there aware of an network issue & thats it  Shocked

Re: What's up?

I thought that I would get this one in before I can't access anything again tonight - download  speed now below 500K  and time outs increasing - everything normal as far as router/line stats go

Re: What's up?

Hello all, I'm new to plusnet, just set up this evening an am already noticing how slow the service is at the moment. Initial speed test at about 6.45pm was 1498 kb and more recent tests are about 300! Notice that you all seem to have speed problems too - is this something to get used to with plusnet or is this a wider problem?

Re: What's up?

Welcome to the forum,
if you have time to read all the posts on this in the last couple of days you will see that it is not unique to Plus net, a lot of other people on different ISP's have the same problem this week

Re: What's up?

Over the last few days I have had to use father-in-laws talk talk, whilst plusnet was activated. I did think that talk talks was a bit slow too.

Re: What's up?

My speeds have been very bad for weeks now,  I'm close to the exchange, have had 15 megs in the past, 12 megs regularly.  Then it was so slow I couldn't even load a speed tester.  New PN Thompson plugged into test socket, different filters, etc.  A modem reboot usually gives me better speed but, over the next couple of hours, it drops to around 300 kbps.
The latest strangeness is that BT Speedtester is giving me around 2 megs 'higher' than the ordinary BB speed testers whereas, up until now, BT has always shown at least 1 meg 'below' the ordinary testers.  Even stranger, BT has now upped my IP Profile from 10 megs to 12 megs..??!!.  I'm getting a visit from the OR Engineers on Monday morning but, having seen all the other posts about this problem, I'm thinking along the lines of a 'national' hiccup at PN... unless BT customers are getting something similar?

I'm back down to 1500k at 15.00.  Speed still comes and goes.
