What happens if the BT guy doesn't turn up on the appointed day
I'm just looking on the black side as I was expecting BT to install my fibre optic product this afternoon. It's now 2.45pm & there has been no contact whatsoever from BT or the engineer. I know that I am getting more cynical as I get older but If he doesn't turn up, how will I arrange an alternative appointment?

I had this a few years ago, I booked the visit for a Thursday and he turned up on the Wednesday, Phoned me and said how do I get in? I said you don't you were meant to come tomorrow! He checked and I was right, but he managed to fix the fault, which was done by re-making the wire connections at the pole & cabinet (this was after a visit costing me £150 when the engineer said it was my (previously BT supplied when I moved from ISDN to ADSL) faceplate splitter.
