What happened at 14:13?

Total loss of the Broadband connection - did Plusnet see anything from their side?
Edit: Title corrected (router still on GMT!)

Hi Jelv,
Nothing we're aware of.  RADIUS shows your disconnection as a "user request" which probably suggests that it was your router, rather than us or BT.

Re: What happened at 14:13?

Was that the first or second disconnection?
I tried to reconnect a few times, then tried RIN which connected. I immediately disconnected that manually and went back to IPSC.
I didn't reboot the router at any stage and am not aware of anything here that would have caused a disconnect (router is on a UPS). I wonder if IPSC might report things slightly differently so that something like an exchange problem looked like "user request"?

Re: What happened at 14:13?

The message comes from our RADIUS servers so it's nothing to do with IPSC.
Either way, there's been no reports of problems on your exchange - I checked earlier.

Hmmm...
What's the betting that if I'd gone out the front and looked up and down the street I'd have seen a grey van?

Re: What happened at 14:13?

Lost connectivity again for about half an hour - this time I had a closer look at what was going on. Strange thing is that the router's modem didn't loose sync with the exchange. Rang in and they could see the same thing in the radius logs "user request". A router reboot didn't restore connectivity. I also tried the normal PN plusdsl, RIN (plusdsl2) and IPSC (plus11), none worked - then it came back for about 5 minutes, went again and about 10 minutes later it came back while I was talking to CSC without either them or me actually doing anything.
Anyone any ideas?

Re: What happened at 14:13?

Was there a short outage at Plusnet towers at 10.13am this morning.      I was on the forum but couldn't open another page.  I checked my email and that was down, other sites worked though.  It was similar to what happened the other day but only lasted for a couple of minutes.  Anyone else affected?

Not that we're aware of.
