Re: What does this mean???

The results are a lot worse than they should be for your attenuation - downstream speed should be much higher on ADSL2+
The worrying bit is the very high number of error seconds in just over a day.
Can you try the test socket and report back

Re: What does this mean???

6656k looks like it's banded to me. I'll have to wait until Monday before I can do anything about that.

Re: What does this mean???

How can it be banded with a 6.5dB noise margin

Re: What does this mean???

Hi rena,
Just ran a line check and sure enough, it's banded, as I suspected. I'll have to do some more investigating to see what's going on. I'll get back to you.

Re: What does this mean???

Hi rena,
There's a little bit of an explanation here about banded profiles.

Re: What does this mean???

HI rena,
I've lifted the banding now so you should see the sync rate is up but I'll have to check the IP profile in a bit to see when that goes up so I can make changes on your account.

Re: What does this mean???

Why do you expect the sync rate to rise when the noise margin was 6.5dB

Re: What does this mean???

Because the sync rate was restricted by the banding.

Re: What does this mean???

So now the sync rate will be restricted by the default noise margin of 6dB - with, I would have expected, very little difference. See my earlier post where I flagged up major problems with the line

Hi Jim,
The sync rate is now 6936 with SNR of 9dB.

[Censored]  Embarrassed Embarrassed
If that is on ADSL2+ then there is still a problem
