Weirdness with password reminder requests

I've just done the Windows 10 upgrade and in the process have lost some of the browser "stored" passwords (of which plusnet was one of them).
I've tried 3 times to do a password reminder and despite clicking on the e-mailed link within seconds I'm getting told an hour has passed since I requested it ????
Any ideas how I can get around this ?

Scratch that....the obvious "play with your windows clock" answer will suffice
