Webmail timeouts

Hi All,
Webmail keeps logging me out.
Until very recently I could leave myself perpetually logged in to webmail.  (My employer bars external IMAP and SMTP connections, so this is the only way to keep an eye on my mail.)
I can no longer do this because the squirrelmail page has begun to log me out every few minutes.
Does anyone know how I can change this?
Cheers,
                                                                tip.

Re: Webmail timeouts

I didn't think there were any idle timeouts on our webmail system.
Is this something that anyone else has been seeing recently?
I've just logged into webmail and I'll see if it logs me out over lunch.

Re: Webmail timeouts

Weird.
I left it half an hour, and it's not timing out when I click on "inbox".

That's exactly what I see, and the timescale is spot on.

Re: Webmail timeouts

I'm not aware of anything specific that changed a fortnight or so ago. It's around the time we made some changes to the CAPTCHA system, but those changes got rolled back IIRC.
I've just logged in to see if I can replicate this. What browser are you both using?

Re: Webmail timeouts

I tried with Firefox 3.0.3 and was unable to replicate the problem. I'll give Opera a whirl today.

Re: Webmail timeouts

I've used FF 2.0.0.11 and 2.0.0.17.  About to try IE 6.  XP Pro SP2.
I should have emphasised that this is on a work machine, not on my home (Plusnet ISP consuming) machine.  I haven't been at home long enough to try it there Sad
Is it possible this is an issue with an individual server (or server group) which I manage to connect to?  Config perhaps missed an update?
