Web Mail - forward problem

When I forward an email from webmail I get this bit at the bottom of the forward window which tells me that it is being forwarded as a .msg file.
Unfortunately Outlook Express won't open it.
Is there a method of changing the format before sending it

Re: Web Mail - forward problem

Is OE .eml and thunderbird .msg? Try opening it with thunderbird, Jim. That might work. Other than that I don't think there's an option to change the format (though you might be able to stop it forwarding as an attachment) - I'll have a look and post back.

Yep, got it - when you're logged in go to options -> display preferences, scroll down and change 'enable forward as attachment' from yes to no. I think it'll  then forward things inline.

Re: Web Mail - forward problem

Sorry doesn't.do it.
However I got round the problem by opening the email and forwarding from there.
The effect of doing what you suggested is to remove the option Forward as Attachment when forwarding an opened email.
My problem is solved but I would be interested in why Squirrelmail default forward is in .msg format.
The only reason I can think of is that it stores emails in .msg format and forwarding just adds it the the email from the store.
Perhaps this is something to consider with Ironport
