I did and whilst it worked for a while, the next day my wireless was almost dead  Angry Angry Angry
Range was about 3 feet Cry
I've downgraded to v1.02.14 and it seems to be working...

This is the router i have, I think i have not done this yet so thanks for the info. No wait i have 1.02.16 and all is well (touch wood)  Wink
Sorry your router died. In case this happens to me i guess a factory reset would do the job?

I'm still on version 1.02.04 (as supplied when first bought) and have never updated to newer versions.  It's working fine and I don't like to risk upsetting the system Undecided

Re: Warning! - don't upgrade your firmware on a Netgear DG834GT to 1.02.16

Actually, it was really weird.
Although I signed up for ADSL2+, I seemed to be getting what appeared to be ADSL2+ encapsulated within ADSL max!!!
Internet connectivity was basically mostly fine - but PC - PC (wireless) just died. Roll_eyes Roll_eyes
So it didn't die, it just got a terminal sickness.
I'm not very impressed with the free Thomson router from Plusnet as I can no longer control the noise margin.
Indeed - certain functions are locked out and the web interface is poor.
But it does do ADSL2+.
