This is the router i have, I think i have not done this yet so thanks for the info. No wait i have 1.02.16 and all is well (touch wood)
Sorry your router died. In case this happens to me i guess a factory reset would do the job?

I'm still on version 1.02.04 (as supplied when first bought) and have never updated to newer versions. It's working fine and I don't like to risk upsetting the system

Actually, it was really weird.
Although I signed up for ADSL2+, I seemed to be getting what appeared to be ADSL2+ encapsulated within ADSL max!!!
Internet connectivity was basically mostly fine - but PC - PC (wireless) just died.
So it didn't die, it just got a terminal sickness.
I'm not very impressed with the free Thomson router from Plusnet as I can no longer control the noise margin.
Indeed - certain functions are locked out and the web interface is poor.
But it does do ADSL2+.
