I like how Plusnet puzzle me fairly frequently. It's like appearing on a slightly arsey episode of Mastermind...
My question is this (and maybe I'm being a bit thick due to being a novice) but on the view my usage part of my account, I noticed this this morning:
Paid-for usage 2.18KB -
Free usage 78.15KB -
That's for today's usage. Now I know it isn't any biggie, but more of a ponderance. How can I show usage for today when my laptop hasn't even been switched on (nor has it been switched on since around 10pm last night)?

If your router is on then there is a small amount of 'background' traffic between your router and PlusNet. The 78KB overnight is typical and is absolutely nothing to worry about.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hi Grant17375,
It's just basically the router keeping the connection alive with the exchange.
