Very slow broadband

Hello

I'm having problems with very slow broadband connection. I have checked my router connections and all seems to be ok.

Would it be possible to run a test on the line to see if there is a fault?

 The BT test results are showing a very slow connection speed.

Is this a problem with the BT line?

Hey @GCotterill,

 

I'm really sorry to hear your speed isn't performing as you'd usually expect it too. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused.

 

After testing the service, everything look spot on from this side with your download speeds showing 2.5mbps which is within estimates and above the minimum guaranteed speed. Could you let us know what speeds you are seeing your side - via an Ethernet connection into your test socket.  How to locate the test socket and set your connection into it can be found here. I'd also suggest going ahead and trying these basic checks and let us know how you get on.

Hi Maddy

Thanks for looking into the problem. The broadband speed is now back to normal and the BT test shows much higher speeds.

Not sure where the problem was but something seems to have changed to improve the speed.
