Re: Very low speed

Hi Jack,
Looking at the various graphs that we have to monitor our traffic, we're getting absolutely hammered by iPlayer traffic - loads and loads of people watching the Olympic Games.

That link shows quite how much of a dramatic increase in traffic there has been today.  It's on the way down now though, so speeds should be back to a normal level shortly.
Edit: Just to add - this is the most iPlayer traffic we've seen in the last 4 months.

Re: Very low speed

Didnt know about this and hard rebooted my rooter. Was on Telehouse North, Juniper 2" gateway. This gateway is sometimes known as ptn-ag2.  Now found myself on "City Lifeline, Juniper 8" gateway. This gateway is sometimes known as pcl-ag01.  Speed back to normal from 1975k  where as its about 6500 plus normally. When did  City Lifeline start being used. Always thought ti was telehouse.

Re: Very low speed

Hiya,
We've had centrals at City Lifeline for probably the last 12-18 months or so. That goes along with the others at Telehouse North and Telehouse East.

Re: Very low speed

Our biggest day ever on iPlayer.
Peaking at 955Mbps, it's currently around 700Mbps, which is what it peaked at yesterday.  Fortunately the Olympics will be over soon!
