Using VPN with Technicolor TG582n router - what the secet pls?

Hi
Used to use VPN through my previous (non Plusnet) broadband and router. Worked perfectly without me having to set anything up on the router, and the router always had great stealth when tested against GRC.com
Will my current router be able to handle VPN?
I have standard Firewall setting on Router and the Plusnet Firewall set to 'Low'
VPN is not connecting so what is the secret please?
I am most unhappy

Is your VPN PPTP or IPSec ?
If it's IPSec and depending on the f/w version of the router, you may need to do this http://npr.me.uk/vpnissue.html
